Values
Believe in sustainable living and design. Having work experiences with many mix-use projects in China, I am familiar to coordinate and resolve the design issues in the process of submission and presentation skills. I also like to do all kinds of design-related competition, from architecture to graphics. One of my favourite architects is Frank Lloyd Wright because he defined architecture into a deeper meaning in words and buildings.
"I am a slow thinker with many ideas; I often take time to think beyond designing a building or an object but also the interaction and experience from the 'user's sides.' One of my favourite architects is Frank Lloyd Wright because he defined architecture with a deeper meaning that link human and nature together.
Dissertation : The relationship of the brand development and adaptive reuse of historic buildings in Hong Kong - a study of branding in dual identities
The history of Hong Kong plays a unique character in the architecture aspect. The dual cultural identities, the intensity and the density have shaped the architecture, whereas, the social living routine, the uniqueness topographic, and the communal system have shaped the context in Hong Kong. And this is the reason that my master thesis had explored the relationship between brand development and adaptive reuse of the historical building in Hong Kong.
In Hong Kong, adaptive reuse of historic building involved heritage and place branding, while revitalised with new uses and brands which formed dual identities because of branding. The finding showed that a relationship between brand and heritage building did exist when there was a logical association, and it was crucial to understanding the social aspects given design stages. Holistic supervision was considered vital in the management stage from the developer's perspective and additional control, and government guidelines were necessary to implement the dual identities."
Continuous Improvement
Studying marketing opened my mind to think more than just architecture, and how and what can I do, more and further. Below is an experimental motion picture done with PowerPoint to present my thoughts, it is intriguing that my disordered thoughts can transform to something, even thought it is very rough. But the process of repetitive practice , allows me to think more and revamp.
